We are staying at the George V in Paris, Dec 18-21, with our two teenage children 16%26amp;19
and want to see the less touristy parts of paris that still have the christmas feel to them as we love to take long walks away from the crowds. It is our first vist and any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Not exactly out of the tourist mainstream, but the windows at Galeries Lafayette are a Christmas %26quot;must%26quot;. Also the decorations on Place Vendome can be quite %26quot;original%26quot;.

Thankyou for the information

I wish the %26quot;must see/do%26quot; would vanish
from the requests on the Forum.
Any responses posted are based on the
person responding.
There are so many categories of things
to see and do in Paris and many others
that can%26#39;t be categorized.
churches
monuments
museums
gardens
walking tours
restaurants
special events
and on and on
For instance, a request indicating an interest in art could then get a great response.
The search box at the top of the page is a great resource; so under utilized.
It is easy to access and filled with
previous information from TA contributors.
