Men's Facials

Following up on a recently posted thread. Has anyone been to the Nickel spa in Paris? Thoughts?

Yes, well, it%26#39;s like a regular spa... except that it%26#39;s only for men. You get the %26quot;usual suspects%26quot; as treatments, plus some supposed to be specifically male oriented - I think they have some massage against love handles or something ! There is nothing too overtly pampering, soothing, %26quot;cocoon like%26quot;, to it, as you get in some other spas, mixed or female. It%26#39;s very professional, but they don%26#39;t overdo it. Maybe in some curious will to retain a certain %26quot;butchness%26quot;, even though, located as it is in the heart of the Marais, 90 % of the clientele is gay.

Note that, contrary to its equivalent I know in Britain, most of the staff is female. I%26#39;d recommend you go to the main one on rue des Francs Bourgeois, spacious and not very busy, rather than on the cramped one they recently set up in Le Printemps de l%26#39;Homme. They have a very good selection of cosmetics, theirs and other brands. On the whole, a nice, businesslike, reasonably priced, experience.

Oh, if only love handle massages actually worked!! I love all the wild French %26quot;cures%26quot; for excess weight--electrodes, wraps, etc. I think the only way an electrode would work is if would shock the sh*t out of you every time you picked up a donut!
