I have a short visit to paris with wife and 5 year old, I wanted to visit the tower in late December a tues night, I was thinking of having a meal in the restaurant , are there crowds to get up the tower , should I book in advance for the restaurant.

I have just returned from Paris at the weekend and was surprised at how busy it was for this time of year. I cannot say what it will be like in December, though.
We had to wait about 30-40mins in the queue for tickets and then another 30-40mins in the queue for the lift from the second floor to the top.
We were only in Paris for the day but it was worth it though

It is always possible that if you wait to arrive in Paris to make your resaervations that there will be cancellations and you%26#39;ll get a table...but if this is high on your priorities list then even now, you may be too late to get a reservation. You%26#39;re best bet is to telephone them directly to find out (its best to call sometime between 9-11 AM or 2-5 PM PARIS time)....especially if Restaurant Jules Verne is your preference. If it%26#39;s only ALTITUDES 95 you%26#39;ll probably have better luck.

There is a separate elevator for the use of restaurant reservations.

I don%26#39;t know about the meal, but I was in Paris in January and we walked straight up the tower at night. No queue.
