Paris, Monaco and the best of Italy

Planning a Spring trip to Paris, Monaco and the best of Italy. Any suggestions

Villefranche sur Mer, a small town between Nice and Monaco is a very pretty place. My husband and I spent a month there attending an immersion language school. There was a decent selection of restaurants, 3-4 hotels and apartments to rent as well. There isa train that runs through there into Italy, then down the coast to Rome. If you%26#39;re in Monaco, you should go north of Nice to St. Paul de Vence. It%26#39;s a bit touristy, but there are lots of galleries, a great view, and several good restaurants.

In Paris, we like the Novotel Eiffel Tower and the Hotel Favart (near the Opera). The Novotel is very modern, the Favart is an old 4 story hotel on a side street, that is one bock from a metro stop.

Sounds like a great trip - Bon Voyage!

Thanks. I%26#39;m going to look into Villefranche sur Mer. I have never heard of it.

I second Villefranche. It%26#39;s a cute little town with a picturesque harbor and an %26quot;almost sand%26quot; beach. Located between Monaco and Nice on the train line.

I absolutely loved Cinque Terre on the Italian Riviera! It%26#39;s 5 fishing villages perched on the cliffs near Genoa. They are connected by a train, boats and a hiking trail. It%26#39;s like stepping back in time. A wonderful place to unwind in the midst of a big vacation. This past May/June, we visited Paris, Nice (Villefranche and Eze), Cinque Terre, Rome and Venice. After Paris, Cinque Terre was my favorite. Of the 5 villages, I preferred Vernazza.
