Restuarant in Du Lourve, Eiffel Tower, & Versailles

I would like to find a nice place for lunch at or near Du Lourve, Eiffel Tower, and Versailles. I have read a few threads mentioning nice cafe in Du Lourve. I%26#39;d love to hear recommendations!

Thanks.

I assume by du Louvre, you mean the Louvre museum....The Cafe Marly is very popular..You%26#39;ll find it on the Rue de Rivoli side of the complex ..It overlooks the pyramid...very much a place to see and be seen...for a meal, you might want to make reservations as the line can last about 45 minutes from time to time otherwise...There are also a couple of resto%26#39;s within the Louvre itself...and they are recommended as well..One is sort of cafeteria style...

There is a very popular resto on the grounds of Versailles down near the Grand Canal..I%26#39;ve never eaten there but it stays busy and I hear the food is good..

For the Eiffel Tower, how about a picnic from one of the food purveyors on Rue Cler or thereabouts....They%26#39;ll even uncork your wine for you...Everything from Chinese takeout to a delicious take-away jambon baguette and other goodies plus fresh fruits or cheeses from the appropriate vendors..

I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll get other good advice because there are tons of good resto%26#39;s near all these special places...

I ate lunch in the grounds of the Louvre - you can get there by the little train that takes you around the gardens and down to the Petit Trianon.

Not too expensive and a range of food. Quite busy around the middle of lunch, I suggest getting there at the later end of lunchtime.

I also ate lunch at one of the cafes in the Louvre - this is an expensive way to go and the queues are long. Don%26#39;t recommend it unless you%26#39;re desperate!

I like to eat at Le Grand Louvre which is the only %26quot;fancy%26quot; restaurant in Le Louvre.

Lunch menu is affordable and delicious. A relaxing stop before going back to your visit.

I guess Kateoz meant he/she took the train to the gardens in Versailles, not possible in the Louvre.

As for Versailles, the restaurant near the Grand Canal is called la Flotille, better to have a reservation (they have a part brasserie and a part restaurant), i ate several times in the restaurant part it was very good.

In the Louvre i never tries the Café Marly but i did eat in the restaurant le Grand Louvre right under the main pyramid, the food was also very good.
