travelling from Lourdes from Spain

I will be travelling to Lourdes from Barcelona. I would like to know the following:

1.. how to get there by flight?

2. How to get there by bus?

3. How to get there by train?

4. which is the most convenient?

5. which is the cheapest?

6. are there budget airlines i can fly to lourdes? is it direct?

I just got back from a trip to Europe and did the exact opposite of what you want: went from Lourdes to Barcelona. This is what I know:

1) There is no way to fly to Lourdes from Barcelona or the reverse. At least, I did not find a way to do it.

2 and 3) There are buses and trains that go from Lourdes to Toulouse and from Toulouse to Barcelona. We ended up on a train from Lourdes to Toulouse and a bus from Toulouse to Barcelona. Tha bus ride took 8 hours because it stops in several small towns (about 6 of them), and it was very tiring. It%26#39;s nice to see the Pyrenees and the small towns, but I%26#39;d rather be somewhere else for 8 hours than sitting on a bus.

4) If you can get on a train, I%26#39;d get on the train. We did not have that choice because there was a strike with the trains in France (mouvement social), which is common there, and therefore not reliable. The train ride from Lourdes to Toulouse is about 2 hours (or less) and from Toulouse to Barcelona is 4-5 hours.

5) I had Eurail tickets that I bought from home, but ended up having to pay bus tickets, so it turned out pretty expensive for me... Once again, for me, time is money, so if you can get on a train, I think that is cheaper.

6) The only budget airline that I know flies anywhere close to Lourdes is RyanAir, and they only have a flight from London to Pau and back. Pau is a short train or bus ride to Lourdes.

You can take a bus to Prepignan and then take the 08:31 train to Lourdes. It arrives in early in the afternoon, about a 6 hour long trip.

There are no direct flights between Barcelona and Lourdes.

Whoops. That website lists many budget airlines for Barcelona. I tried it accidentally for the Canary Islands...
