boat ride on the seine

i would like people%26#39;s opinions about a boat ride on the seine - which do you recommend - during the daylight, or at night?

Might depend a bit on the weather, but night%26#39;s beautiful, with all the buildings and bridges lit up.

I recommend les Vedettes du Pont Neuf, smaller boats than the ones at Pont de l%26#39;Alma.

Anytime of day is good. I would vote for sunset or early evening when the lights come on.

Hello,

I live in Paris. It depends on what you want to achieve on the night. If %26#39;tour guide%26#39; type of tour is what you want then I can%26#39;t help you but there are millions of those...but if it is for a good quality, romantic dinner on the Seine, then I would recommend Le Paris. http://www.yachtsdeparis.fr/

I noticed they are in process of updating website...but to see boats, click on %26quot;Acces Ancien Site%26quot;.

I have been on the boats to review for a private function and they are first class. The hold regular dinners on them just like a restaurant. Not cheap, but first class food / service and very stylish so highly recommended if you want to %26quot;impress%26quot; someone.

I have been on a %26quot;premium%26quot; dinner on Bateaux Parisiens%26quot; (http://www.bateauxparisiens.com/main2.htm) and thought it was a wee bit too commercial for the price (expensive).

Good luck.

BOTH day and night Seine sightseeing cruises are HIGHLY recommended...at ANY season of the year....and are as pleasant an hour as you can spend in Paris.

Whether day or night, get to the dock early so you can

get an outside seat and not have a lot of people stand up

in front of you to take pictures and block your view.

Do BOTH, if you can. Each is so different and fun. We used Les Vedettes de Pont Neuf for our day trip, as it was convenient to where we were staying in the Latin Quarter. It%26#39;s smaller than the other boat lines but has commentary.

Loved the night trip, but it was CHILLY even in September! Everything looks lovely from the Seine all lighted up, especially the Eiffel. Not to be missed!
