Help with faxing to France. New country code?

I need your help, please. I have been trying to send a fax to a hotel in Paris and have tried a variety of different way to do it but to no avail. Has the France country code changed? How about the Paris code? I%26#39;ve tried 001 33 1 and the number as well as 001 33 01 and the number. Any suggestions for me? Thanks so much. Oh, I%26#39;m in the US.

I haven%26#39;t heard that the France code would have changed, so i would do 00 or 001 + 33+ 1 plus the 8 digits.

Thanks raphy. I%26#39;ve tried your suggestions and it still doesn%26#39;t work. Perhaps it%26#39;s my fax machine and not the numbers after all! Guess I%26#39;ll just have to use my %26quot;petit peut de francais%26quot; on the phone with the hotel!

if the french number is (exemple) 01 23 45 67 89, you must do : 001 33 1 23 45 67 89

Hi everyone who so kindly offered their help to me. Figured it out. The number to connect with the international line is 011 not 001. That followed by 33 1 plus the 8 digit number worked. Phew! No %26quot;petit peut de francais%26quot; over the phone!! Thanks again.

001 is the code when you call North America from France (actually it is 00 + 1).

When calling from North America it is 011+country code+local code (city or region)+phone number. Be careful France uses 01 for Paris, 04 is the Riviera, 06 for cell phones but you should NEVERD dial the 0 in the regional code.
