Arr Air France 2:30, Opera Garnier at 7:30

Taking AF bus to Montparnasse (staying in 13th by Place d%26#39;Italie), Taxi recommended to the ballet (approx. cost)? We can do line 7 I believe in 25 min, but we will be dressed up!

Thanks for your help!

What is your question exactly, the fastest way to the Opéra?

A cab from place d%26#39;Italie to Opéra will cost you about € 12-15, but if I were you I would just go by métro, it%26#39;s direct, 15 mn at most (especially at this time of the day).

Easy on the %26quot;dressed up%26quot;! Paris is not Pittsburgh or Salzburg, people don%26#39;t %26quot;dress up%26quot; to go to the opera. Especially at so early an hour, 80 % of the people will have come straight from work and will be in business attire.

If you are arriving at CDG on a 2:30 PM flight and then making your way into your hotel in Paris....and then have opera tickets for the same evening at 7:30 PM....you should have no difficulty getting from the airport to your Paris hotel, checking in, un-packing, cleaning up and dressing for the opera. You can probably also find time to have a light meal at a local café near your hotel before the opera. Ask at the hotel front desk for a good local café choice AND the location of the nearest taxi stand. The taxi fare from the Place d%26#39;Italie area to either the OPERA GARNIER or OPERA BASTILLE shouldn%26#39;t be more than 12-15 €uro at that time of day...but I%26#39;d allow 30 minutes for travel time (vagaries of traffic--if you are collecting your tickets at the box-office 45 mins). There is a regular Taxi Rank located on Place d%26#39;Italia--

Take a taxi to the opera. If you call the taxi it will cost a bit more than going to a taxi rank. I%26#39;d estimate the cost to be less than 20 euro.
