Sunday & Monday

How bad of an idea is it to visit Paris on Sunday %26amp; Monday? I know many things are closed. I%26#39;m taking my parents and siblings to Paris for 2 days next month and we had originally planned on Monday %26amp; Tuesday. How much worse would Sunday %26amp; Monday be instead?

Thanks for any help y%26#39;all can give.

Depends on your priorities. On Sundays, most stores and shops are closed...so shopping would probably be off the schedule. All of the major museums and monuments will be open though...but a bit busier than usual. Some restaurants will be closed on Sundays...or Mondays. Access to churches will be somewhat restricted due to normal Sunday morning masses (it%26#39;s just rude to walk around snapping flash photos during mass). Regular city bus service is severely curtailed and taxis will be harder to find...but the Metro runs with only a slightly longer wait-time between trains. There will be less traffic on Sundays and the Metro will be less crowded.

Some museums...most notably the Musées d%26#39;Orsay, Rodin, Carnavalet and the various museums of the Ville de Paris) and because of this, the Musée du Louvre (regularly closed on Tuesdays...when the d%26#39;Orsay tends to be busier)) will be busier.

On Tuesdays, several major museums will be closed--most notably Musée du Louvre, Picasso, Centre Pompidou and most %26#39;..national..%26#39; museums).

Well, I figure we%26#39;ll just be hitting the major tourist attractions. They have never been to Paris before and we%26#39;re only going for 2 days. I just don%26#39;t want to feel like I cheated them by taking them on 2 %26quot;off%26quot; days.
