Hi, We want to stay central. Please vote and help us decide. They are only $50 diff. Both are in the Latin Quarter area.

I stayed at the Villa Pantheon in July. It is about 3 blocks from Blvd. Saint Germain in the Latin Quarter. Also 3 or 4 blocks to 2 different metro stations - oden and maubert - and also a taxi rank. Also near these metro stations is a cheese store that will vacuum pack your cheese to bring it home - that was a plus for me at least. The rooms are very small - enough room to fit an average sized checked luggage on either side of the bed. But they are clean. The bathroom is fairly small as well but also clean. Make sure you aim the shower head in the middle of the tub - this way seemed to cause less flooding of the bathroom floor. There is also a mini-bar in your room but is very expensive -like all hotels anywhere - but you%26#39;ll have to ask to get it restocked and an in room safe. Also has your own in room thermostat for the AC/heat. THe beds werent that great but they were decent and it was a double, not a queen. The location was pretty good - we walked everywhere and didnt take the metro or the bus at all, but we did take a taxi a few times. The concierge was very willing to help with any questions. Oh - you are charged for phone calls as well - but again like every hotel anywhere - but there is a phone booth right outside the hotel door that you can use if you buy a phone card a tabac, which is also only about 3 blocks away. Overall it was a good expirence. hope this helps.

Concerning VILLA PANTHEON, this one is less well located than Trianon Rive Gauche but much nicer.

Much better located and just renovated.

Esprit Saint Germain is a very nice hotel but not for low budget....
