Question for Touringscot

Hi Touringscot - did you fly into Beauvais with Ryan Air - how did you find the transport to Porte Maillot and then onto your hotel - did you get a taxi - what%26#39;s a rough price guide for taxi? You know us scots - dead tight with money - nah, not really - just don%26#39;t want to be unpleasantly surprised!

In the event that you do not receive a reply, do a simple SEARCH of this forum using %26#39;..BEAUVAIS AIRPORT..%26#39; as your search criteria for all and more information that you could either need or want for airport transfer from BVA to Paris

Hi EvaG!

I flew from Prestwick with Ryanair last year and will be again next month. There is a bus company that have a booth at the check-in desks which sell bus tickets from Beauvais to Porte Maillot. As far as i can remember they cost about 10GBP return for an adult. The girls from the booth will probably come up to you while you are checking in, they wear a bright pink uniform. The bus took about an hour and was clean and comfortable. No eating on it though. When you get off the bus, i suggest you get straight on the metro at Porte Maillot to take you to your hotel, cheap and easy just like us Scots girls! ;-) I can also remember seeing plenty of taxis around too if you prefer them, although ive never taken a taxi in Paris, so cant comment on them. Ive used the buses each time ive flown with Ryanair and find them fine. If youve never been to Beauvais airport then youre in for a shock! He he!

Hi Caroline

Great information - thanks - oh god - the airport - is it really rubbish? For the return journey - the bus leave Porte Maillot 3 hrs and 15 mins before the flight leaves - is that correct? Which area did you stay in and any recommendations for hotels? Eva

We flew into Beauvais last month. It%26#39;s very small so finding the bus is no problem. The journey into Porte Maillot takes just over an hour. When you arrive cross Bvd Pershing to Hotel Concorde(we were a bit disorientated at this point and stood like numpties wondering where we were!) passing the hotel entrance. Take the first street on the right and at the end of it you%26#39;ll see the Metro (Porte Maillot). The metro%26#39;s so easy to use you%26#39;ll not even think about getting a taxi. The only other thing I%26#39;d mention is that for your return journey remember to look for the bus marked Prestwick. They won%26#39;t let you on any of the other ones - not that it would really matter, they%26#39;re all going to the same place!! The facilities at Beauvais aren%26#39;t great, so if you want to eat at the airport buy some food before you leave Paris!! The airport cafe is expensive and not well stocked - the night we left there were about 6 flightsworth of people and 2 assistants in the cafe!!!!!!!!

Also meant to say that the bus leaves promptly 3hrs 15mins before flight so don%26#39;t miss it! We had a fab time in Paris, stayed in Montparnasse, Hotel Nouvel Orleans which was clean %26amp; tidy and served a good breakfast which we got included in the room price. Although a bit far from the centre (still walking distance if you like walking!) there was a metro across the road. Good shopping in the area too. Go up Montparnasse tower on a clear day for the best view of Paris and the Eiffel Tower.
