8th Arrondissement ?

Hello,

I am visiting Paris before the end of this year and I have been reading the many posts in this forum. But I noticed that nobody has mentioned the 8th arrondissement. This is the area that my friend resides and I would like to know more about the area good or bad. Does anyone have anything they would like to share about the 8th?

The 8th is very nice. It has the Champe Elysee and Arch de Triomphe among other things. Some people find it to b too touristy. I have friends who won%26#39;t stay anywhere else. Although we always visit the the 8th we have never stayed there. I wouldn%26#39;t mind staying there though.

The 8th district is very nice to stay as there are some 4* hotels located there. But I don%26#39;t find the area interesting as much as on the left bank (5th, 6th) and parts of the right bank (1st, 3rd, %26amp; 4th) that are closer to the river.

We stayed in the 17th which is right next to the 8th and we loved the area. The area we stayed in was very quiet and pleasant at night... I didn%26#39;t see anything in the area that I didn%26#39;t like... it is Paris afterall! You%26#39;ll love it I%26#39;m sure.

Thank you everyone for the positive feedback. I feel very comfortable visiting this area and I am sure I will enjoy myself as well.

I%26#39;ll be staying in this area in about 2 weeks. Glad to hear everyone%26#39;s feedback. Can anyone recommend a nice little cafe or bistro away from the major tourist sites but in this area?

The 8th is a big arrondissement that has many

faces. You have the Champs Elysees with tourists from all over the world and all social classes. The golden triangle with haute couture and some of the most expensive realestate in Paris. Then you have the 8th near the 17th and in my case the 8th near the 9th. Those borders areas are more interesting to me, more residential and more %26quot;normal%26quot;. The 8th arrondissement is very central as it has the best metro and bus system thanks to its location but also to Gare Saint Lazare bringing a lot of workers from the suburbs into town.
