We took a river cruise , starting from the new Opera ( BASTILLE ) under the boulevards of Paris, for 2 hours north, passed the %26quot;Hotel du Nord%26quot;, to get off at the %26quot;Cité des Sciences%26quot; La villette , 2 hours later. Anyone did this ? Ideal for couples with kids as you shall see Paris from a complete different side. The tour with CANAUXRAMA is perfect, they explain , the offer drinks ..
If you have one morning left, do it , as you%26#39;ll never forget .

Guguk,
I took the trip last month and enjoyed
it very much. Even though the weather
was overcast I got several good b%26amp;w
images. I certainly recommend it.

I just read that the HÔTEL du NORD (made famous in film) has been transformed from a %26#39;..comedy club..%26#39; to a trendy new restaurant-- …nytimes.com/2005/10/09/travel/09surf.html…
%26quot;...Last June, the owners of Mandala Ray, the trendy nightclub, opened a restaurant on the ground floor of the old Hôtel du Nord, 102, quai de Jemmapes, (33-1) 40.40.78.78, made famous by Marcel Carné%26#39;s 1938 film of the same name. Fashion designers like Christian Lacroix and Pierre Hardy as well as the graffiti artist and night-life impresario known simply as André, have been known to linger late into the night on the French fusion cuisine in the dimly-illuminated dining room with brown velvet sofas, walls of old books, and a raw wood planked floors. %26quot;People are starting to spend time here because it%26#39;s like this little pocket of fresh air, some green and a feeling of a real everyday local life,%26quot; said Marie Peltier, a co-owner of the Hôtel du Nord. %26quot;There%26#39;s a feeling of time slowed down.%26quot;...%26quot;

Even %26quot;Old Kids%26quot; like this
trip. I can only agree with
Randy...it%26#39;s great! Take a
sandwich! It%26#39;s a very ser-
ene way to go, and I especi-
ally loved the grates above
us when we were under the
parks, etc. Just neat!

Ugh...I did it and found it waaay too long. Maybe it was too hot the day I did it, but I couldn%26#39;t wait to get to the cite des sciences by the end of the first hour...

I took this trip, but I went the other way. It was simply wonderful. It is one of the best kept secrets in Paris.
