Hello sodesnay,
As said, there are markets all over the city everyday. They generally close up about one so get there in the morning. Good idea to check the website.
Some have bascially just food, others have a mix of everything. They sure can be interesting.

My favorite market in the one on Blvd Richard Lenoir on Sunday morning.

Most markets are held in the morning (not on Mondays) but some are now in the afternoon.
Hopefully above link will work.

I was pleasantly suprised on a Sunday morning
as I came up from the metro on my way to
church and found the open market at Blvd.
Richard Lenoir. It was large with a great
variety of goods and the set up to permit
people to comfortably move throughout.
