Planning a trip to Paris during the last week of January for 3 nights and Followed by 3 night in Nice . Hows Winter In Paris....
|||
Well, how is Malaysia in winter? Weather is a bit relative. But, winters would really be considered mild in Paris, although cold and damp. Often, flowers are still in bloom in November because night time lows are rarely at the freezing mark until December or January! But, on the down side the days are not much warmer. The skys can be dark for long periods. But, the seine can have that foggy beauty as if you were looking at an impressionist%26#39;s painting. Expect days around 40F-45F and nights around 30F-35F, give or take 5-10 degrees. Also, expect drizzle or even some sleet. Snow is possible, but not likely.

Ever seen the paintings of Paris with umbrellas and the sidewalks wet from the rain? That%26#39;s winter! We went last winter and had rain at least half the days and it snowed a bit here and there. Plan on having a compact umbrella with you always and you will use it a lot. It tends to be damp, cool and windy. BUT....the lines are few, the prices are right, the crowds are nonexistent and all the cafes, shops and museums are toasty warm.

Not NICE , bur CANNES or MONACO.NICE is a big city with all of it%26#39;s problems. Do not leave ANYTHING in your car, even things you think they are worth nothing at all.

Last year, on New Year%26#39;s Eve it snowed. It got pretty cold and miserable. Just dress for the cold and make plans to stop ever couple of hours for hot chocolate or hot wine. It is a good time to visit museums as well.
