Meeting point

Hi- I am meeting my brother and sister-in-law in Paris, as we are flying in from different points. They arrive at 6:30 AM and I at 11:30. We have rented a car and will be driving to Beaune that afternoon, however, I am designated as the one to pick a meeting point IN PARIS where they can park and I can arrive at a train station from CDG. Any suggestions?

The 6:30 party is renting the car?

Are they getting it at the airport?

But they want to go ahead and get a start in Paris while they wait for you to arrive?

The train station connected to the train from CDG is Gare du Nord. The other RER stations are just that - RER stops: Chatelet, St Michel, Luxembourg and Denfert Rochereau.

Here is a website that lists public parking near those (and other) stations:

Vinci Park has a lot of lots and garages in Paris...http://www.vincipark.com/

What the *** !?! will they be doing inside Paris with a car from 7 to 11 AM? It%26#39;s totally surreal! Why don%26#39;t they go nicely by RER to Paris, leave their luggage at Gare du Nord, discover Paris between, say 8 and noon, when they would go back to Gare du Nord, meet you there coming from the same RER, and, from there on, you would rent your car and drive to Beaune. Even if, if you ask me, you%26#39;d be even better off, timewise, money wise, and relax wise, by travelling all of you by train to Dijon, 1h35, and pick up the rental there.

Bob is very wise - please consider what he is saying.

Well, that is a very good point. Sometimes we don%26#39;t see beyond our American ways. I will absolutely make this suggestion.
