Hi,
I%26#39;m planning on travelling for a day trip to Avignon from Paris next month. When I was in Avignon a few years ago the train station was near the old city, right across the street. I know hear the TGV station is on the outskirts. Is this true? Is it easy to get to the old city from the new station? Would be really grateful if someone could help me out. Thanks.

There is also a TGV that stops in the city center.
When we went, we arrived in the center be departed from the one on the outside of town. The bus was cheap- just a couple of Euros and ran every 1/2 hour or so. You can get a schedule at the Tourism Office just up the main street from the Train Station.
