travelling from Marais district to Eurodisney

is this mad - travelling from Marais -near Rambateau and Chatalet les Halles to EuroDisney - Marne la Vallee on RER . Can it be done - how long is the journey - looks ok on the map but........

Not its not mad at all. You can get the RER at Chatelet and got Direct to disney. Its about a 40 min ride or so.

thanks morgan, just having another panic attack about organising this trip !! It%26#39;s supposed to be a holiday !! Chatelet les Halles is supposed to be enormous - v. difficult to navigate but I guess if i can get around London tubes should be ok~!

Bialinn, it%26#39;s EASY, and we towed our suitcases!

We have 2 kids and we took the RER from Gare de Lyon (only a couple of stations from Chatalet les Halles) with all our luggage - its just a suburban train that takes you out to Marne le Vallee, which I can tell you is RIGHT next to the Disney Village, Disneyland entrance and the bus transport interchange. I mean spitting distance.

Train wasn%26#39;t crowded so plenty of room (it was a Monday morning). We simply got off at Marne Le Vallee, took the lift up one level because we couldn%26#39;t be fagged taking the suitcases up the escalator, and stepped outside to the free shuttle bus stop for our Disney Hotel.

Have fun - we had a marvellous time - Space Mountain and the Aerosmith Rockin Roller Coaster are the best.

Frodo :)

Remember that you can probably walk from Rambateau to the RER A faster than getting the metro from to Chatelet.

I trust this doesn%26#39;t add confusion....

but I enjoyed using the trip planner on the ratp site, here:

www.ratp.info/informer/anglais/index.php

You can try different combinations like: fastest route, fewest connections, bus only, etc just to learn about the different transport options.

You can print them out and take them with you, including the maps if you like.

We must have stayed very near you as we were near Rambuteau and Chatelet Les Halles. Went to Disneyland by some combination of trains which I now can%26#39;t recall. Didn%26#39;t have any problems though.

I disliked Chatelet Les Halles in general but that%26#39;s not to say it%26#39;s impossible to navigate. You just have to read the the signs very carefully - I find they vary a bit in height and sometimes one is obscured by another so you need to keep your eyes peeled - and just have enough time to back track if you find you%26#39;ve missed a sign and gone the wrong way.

Or, take one of the above ground routes as per the previous poster%26#39;s suggestion. Perhaps let the weather determine which is best on the day.
