Corsica villas

Thinking of booking a villa next summer in Saint Florent with either Corsican Places or Voyages Ilena, has anybody travelled with either of these companies and would you recommend them. Also can%26#39;t decide between late June or early July - I like it reliably hot (28c) and sunny but not unbearable - any recommendations ? thanks

Sorry, no experience of the companies you mention, although they ate both well established so I would be inclined to trust them.

Definitely go for June, early or mid if you can. Corsica gets very crowded in July and August and the prices reflect this. Unmissable trip from St Florent is a tour of Cap Corse, including Centuri Port, a couple of kilometers off the %26quot;main%26quot; road. Can give you other ideas if you wish.

I went in September with Simply Corsica. Could not recommend their booking procedures, documentation or telephone service. However if you can put up with their administrative shambles, the villas are very good and the local reps helpful and well informed. St. Florent is an excellent base and as mentioned tour of Cap Corse highly recommended. Stop for lunch at Erbalunga - tourist prices but beautiful - or Macinaggio. Do go right to the tip at Barcaggio by doing a complete loop from Ersa.

Regards

John

Travelled with Corsican Places a couple of years ago to Lama in the north of the Island. We went in mid June and the weather was PERFECT! The company were very good. Staying up in the mountains was great - a perfect hideaway but with easy access to the coast when wanted.
