I was in Paris a couple weeks ago and we traveled from porte maillot to Moulin Rouge by bus. We had a group dinner to attend that night. I would recommend taking a cab that time night although we found the metro to be completely safe during the day. We also took cabs a couple times during the week. This is a guess, but I%26#39;d say you are looking at 15-20 Euros for the cab. Hope this helps. Have a great trip. Also I would think you would not have any trouble getting a cab. You may have to wait a few minutes but it should not be a problem.

Definitely take a cab at that time, especially since you%26#39;re not familiar with the métro nor the neighbourhood you%26#39;re going.

okey, thanks for great answers;) but will the taxis be lined up in the street or do I have to go somewhere to get one??

After flying in from wherever, taking the BVA shuttle bus 70 additional minutes or so from BVA into Porte Maillot, you might not want to learn to navigate the Paris Metro while rolling luggage behind you. There is a regular taxi stand just up the block from the BVA shuttle stop and there will be taxis available out in front of the Palais des Congress across the street....but there should be taxis waiting right there at the BVA shuttle stop when the bus arrives. At that time of night, the taxi fare to the general vicinity of Place Pigalle on the border of the 9eme %26amp; 18eme should run 15 Euro.

Take a look at this map :

The bus drops you off at the large bus symbol and the taxi rank is located on the %26#39;Bd Gouvion Saint-Cyr%26#39; around the %26#39;V%26#39; in %26#39;gouvion%26#39; on the map.

I was there last Friday and the doorman of the the Hotel Concorde was stopping people from taking the taxis infront of the hotel as they are normally reserved for clients. Just walk another 200 yards around the hotel, past the James Joyce Pub, to the public rank.

p.s. Hi KDK :-)

I tried a search and can%26#39;t find it. I remember reading here about what cab service to take from the airport and can%26#39;t remember the name. I didn%26#39;t arrange any service from the airport to our hotel. I thought we could just get a cab outside. Is this correct? And which service is recommended.

This is for beauvais airport?

Firstly there is no special cab service from Beauvais to Paris but there is a shuttle. You just need to search for %26#39;beauvais%26#39; to get the information.

I%26#39;m sorry, I%26#39;m arriving at CDG.

|||

I think that maybe you should open a new thread asking your question :)

If the question is %26#39;Tell me about taxis at CDG%26quot; then probably aren%26#39;t searching with the correct keywords.

We will be staying at the Hotel de Moulin for a week in March,

and I would be interested to hear your opinion of it.
