Should I stay at this hotel for another night?

Hi all

I will be in paris from 26 oct to 30th oct.

However Hotel Sofia has the double available (55 euros per night)only from 26th oct till 29th oct.

The lady said she will keep a room for me if there is any cancellation. If not she will refer me to somewhere else to stay for the night of 29th oct.

My dilemma is,should I stay in paris for the night of 29th oct?

or should i just travel to beauvais on the night of 29th oct and book a place to stay for the night, as i will be leaving paris for barcelona by ryanair (depart 9am,Paris Beauvais and arrive 1035am at Barcelona Girona) on 30th oct

comments appreciated!

cos if i have to stay in hotel sofia or any other hotels (Which may or may not be cheaper than 55 euros a night)on 30th oct, it means i have to travel down to Porte Maillot by 545am (is there any available public transport at this 4 plus in the morning?) as the shuttle will leave 3h 15mins before flight departure at 9am

Hello Chino,

Beauvais airport does not have hotels right there. You will most likely have to take a taxi to one, although maybe someone on this site knows of a shuttle. It is quite a ways from the city itself, but near a super highway and many motels along it. It is a fairly large city with large suburbs.

I can understand why you would want to go the night/day before in order to get the plane there at 9AM. Maybe if you checked Ryanair site they would have a motel near the airport that you could book a room. Last June, we drove to Beauvais and believe it or not had a sorta hard time getting a motel(JUne/weekday/12 noon)..........I guessed tour buses use them and many were filled. We ended up, however, in a neat motel called %26quot;Formula One%26quot;....reasonable....I think 42E a nite (three of us) but all one price maybe? It was a little farther away from the airport than some others which were filled, but restaruants nearby and just fine.

Bonne chance.

hi thank you for your reply

juz wondering if i can save the amount of money and sleep at the beauvais airport on the night of 29th oct, since it will only be for a few hours...

is sleeping at the beauvais airport allowed? and is the airport 24/7?

another thing i would like to ask is,if i need to travel to beauvais on the night of 29th oct by the shuttle bus which leaves at Porte Maillot for the beauvais airport, where can i get the bus schedule and timings for that particular day?

would like to stay in paris longer to maximise my time there and then travel to beauvais the night before 30th oct (flight departure from beauvais), so i do not need to fumble around with the lack of public transport at 4 plus in the morning

thank you for reading

dear all

i have managed to check for the shuttle bus schedule btw paris beauvais airport and porte maillot

there are only 2 departures(i am guessing the departure times are fixed at 2 times a day?) for the flights going to barcelona girona and the timing most suited for me **if i intend to stay over at beauvais airport on the night of 29th oct** is as follows

19:15 depart from paris porte maillot

20:30 arrive at beauvais airport

or alternatively i can depart at paris porte maillot at 06:00

arive at beauvais 07:15 for my 09:00 flight

however my concern is i will not be able to get any public transport to the porte maillot by 6am

pls advise!

The first metro starts around 5h30 am so it may be a bit short if you are not staying close to Porte Maillot. Out of the metro you still have to cross the coach park on Boulevard Pershing so an extra ten minutes. I would take a taxi to be sure to get there in time to catch the shuttle
