Which month is the most crowded month %26amp; the least crowded in Lourve ?

Is November a peak time there ?

I would imagine the crowded times would be the peak travel times (may-oct)?

We often go on Wednesday nights (it is open late) and there aren%26#39;t many people there, especially in the winter months..

November is not a peak month. Peak season is from April to October and also december

I would still go to the Louvre even if I only had two hours - especially if you%26#39;re coming all the way from?? Canberra? (Or is there really a place called Camberra?)

You could easily scoot through the three biggies in that time but as an alternative or addition, I enjoyed just strolling through the rooms without really pausing to study the pictures because I got an overall impression of the huge variety in the collections - from the lavishly furnished state rooms of Napoleon%26#39;s apartments to the ancient Greek and Eqyptian artefacts - middle ages religious relics - the fascinating basement with the foundations and model of the 12th century castle - the replica crown jewels in the lavish Apollon (?name) gallery and yeah, lots of art too!

From what I%26#39;ve heard November is a decent time to go to avoid crowds. (however I haven%26#39;t been there yet)

Further to the note about the museum being open late on Wednesdays, here is some info I found on the official Louvre website:

Museum Opening Hours

Monday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 9:45 p.m.

Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Friday, 9 a.m. to 9:45 p.m.

Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The museum is closed on Tuesdays and some public holidays.

The museum will close at 6 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2005.

The Pyramid and Galerie du Carrousel entrances are open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., except Tuesdays.

The Passage Richelieu entrance is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., except Tuesdays.

The Porte des Lions entrance is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., except Tuesdays and Fridays.
