If you get to the airport at 9:30, that means you will be out with your bags around 10:30. What will you do with your bags before going to the boat? An answer to that question will help me in helping you.
If you have to carry your bags with you I would suggest you first get your bags on the boat in Monaco then get back to Monaco to visit. This way you would be sure to get your stuff on time on the boat.

yes, that is my plan...to leave the bags in my stateroom if I can, or at least with the baggagehandlers on the ship. Actually, after checking my reservation, I don%26#39;t arrive at Nice until 11:35, but same drill, several hours to enjoy Monaco a little before the ship sails!

want to come and have lunch with me on the ship? or somewhere else glamorous?
|||
I seem to remember a place called La Reserve at Beaulieu Sur Mer. Is that nearby, and stil so wonderful? And what%26#39;s the restaurant known for the original Picassos on its walls?
|||
La Réserve is still in Beaulieu and still a very nice to go or stay at. Picasso%26#39;s are probably in Mougins, close to Cannes.
But withe time span you have I still suggest you stay in Monaco, visit The Rock and the Casion area then get back to the boat. Have a nice trip.
|||
what is in the Casion area?
|||
Sorri I mistyped! I meant Casino. That part of the town is kinda close to the port and can be visited on your way back from The Rock to the port.
On the Rock you have the Prince Rainier%26#39;s palace plus the Oceanographical Museum (the Aquarium) and some very nice buildings.

I am just now onboard the ship, and by the time I got here, and they offered me a glass of champagne, I think I will leave the Monaco sightseeing/shopping for my next trip! Yesterday, I walked Paris until I blistered my feet, so I am into relaxing at the moment. Alexth and Phread were so seet to meet me at Laduree for a tea party yesterday...we had so much fun, and it was so nice to finally meet both of them, after almost a full year of conversing via Tripadvisor...thank you, Tripadvisor, for providing me with two nice friends!! I ended up taking the shuttle bus from Nice airport....very easy and comfortable, and a bargain at 14.70 Euros! The only problem was that it left me at the entrance to the port, pretty far from my large cruiseship. I ended up walking all the way to and from the ship (about 2 miles each way!), with a nice couple of fellow cruise travelers guarding my luggage. THen we got very comfortable sedan taxis to shuttle us to the ship. Thank you for your advice! Really looking forward to the cruise.

arggh...that was supposed to be %26quot;sweet%26quot;, not %26quot;seet%26quot;

Well I hope you really have a nice cruise and remember to post your comments.
